Student self-assessment
Student self-assessment occurs when learners assess their
own performance. With practice, they learn to: objectively reflect on and
critically evaluate their own progress, develop skills, identify gaps in their
understanding. A student who is able to accurately and effectively self-assess,
and then take appropriate action, has attained independence as a learner. And
our goal as a teacher is to create independent, self-sufficient, and lifelong
learners.
As a teacher, we have to give constructive feedback all the
time. It’s nice to know that giving feedback and grading your students is not
the only way to assess students. Let your students assess themselves using
these self-inking stamps. So, why not give students an easy way to assess their
work. Place these stamps where assignments are turned in and have
students stamp their work.
How to use self-inking stamps?
